Common Questions

Before You Book

Is this a formal mold inspection?
No. This is a limited preventive moisture and mold-risk screening. It does not include mold sampling, a formal NYS mold assessment, a remediation protocol or a detailed written inspection report. It is designed to help determine whether those services may be warranted.
What happens if you find a concern?
We explain what we observed, show you the relevant readings or images and discuss the appropriate next step. That may be simple monitoring, correcting a moisture source or scheduling a separate professional inspection when deeper investigation or formal documentation is warranted.
Does the visit include a written report?
It includes verbal findings and a simple photo summary of notable observations—not a formal inspection report, root-cause analysis, remediation plan or contractor scope.
How long does the check take?
Approximately 45–60 minutes for a standard home up to 3,000 sq. ft. Larger homes, multi-unit properties or complex conditions may require additional time and pricing, which we will confirm before the appointment.
Do I have to join MoldGuard Pro?
No. The $149 Home Moisture & Mold Risk Check is a stand-alone service with no membership requirement. If ongoing preventive monitoring is useful for your home, you can ask about MoldGuard Pro after experiencing the first visit.
What areas do you serve?
Nassau County, Suffolk County and Queens. Call or text 833-615-1515 if you are unsure whether your address is inside the service area.
